NEW FOR 2023

ABOUT THE RACE SERIES

American Prototype Championship (APC) inaugural season will be 2023, with the stated goal of becoming the premier North American championship series for gentleman drivers competing in LMP3 cars.

The vision of APC is to offer its competitors the opportunity to race their LMP3 cars on some of the most iconic circuits across North America in a structured eleven race championship. The strategy is to run the APC series within other sanctioning bodies that currently allow LMP3 cars.

For the 2023 season APC is planning an eleven-race championship, comprised of five race weekends. Only the top seven finishes of each competitor will count towards the National Championship. The goal at each APC event is to have a minimum two free practice sessions, two qualifying sessions, and two races.

Holding firm to America race tradition, there with be podium ceremonies after both Saturday and Sunday’s races, trophies worthy of LMP3 racing, and the time-honored custom that Dan Gurney started in 1966 at Le Mans- the champaign spraying on Sundays (optional).
